Today spring arrived in Venice as it does every year on March 20. That is of course the date of the spring equinox. It was a nice sunny day, but unfortunately that will not last long. Rain is in the forecast for the next week for parts of Southern California.
The parking lot off the Venice Boardwalk was filled with cool rides this morning as lowriders filled the parking lot with their very cool rides. The line was long to get the cars in and the lot was filling up quickly. Here are some pictures of the cooler cars we noticed.
The Venice sign had an ‘O’ added to it in preparation for Saint Patrick’s day tomorrow March 17 2017. Saint Patrick who lived A.D. 385-461 was the foremost saint of Ireland and the feast (Irish-“Lá Fhéile Pádraig” or “The day of the festival of Patrick”) is held on the death date of Saint Patrick. Don’t forget to wear Green!
The above flier started appearing around the neighborhood yesterday. It seems that someone is missing their cat so much that they are willing to reward anyone that can bring “Tabby” home again to the tune of $20,000.00 big ones…
It turns out the cat actually lives in Marina del Rey, just to the south of Venice and there are fliers in the whole surrounding area.
